This is a York-Shipley FTSM (firetube scotch marine) boiler was built in 1974 to the ASME Power Boiler Code Section-1. The boiler is built for 150-psi and is rated at 500-Boiler Horsepower (steam rating 17,250-pounds per hours at 212F). The boiler has been removed from the facility and covered in wrap for outdoor storage. The boiler is on skids ready to be loaded (at your cost) on a flat bed trailer to be ship to your facility. The boiler was saved because it was reported to have been operating (firing) until the day the factory (Knitting Mill and Building Heat) was closed in 1995. It has been moved outdoors this past year late 2005 and wrapped.
The boiler comes with the manuals and boiler trim including dual fuel trains (oil and natural gas). The burner is OEM (Original Manufacturer Equipment) York Shipley. This is a good find.
This is a good deal. Inspection can be arranged.
You can inspect the unit for $500 minimum to open two hand holes for the watersides and one rear door to access furnace and rear tube sheet.
The boiler has good records including complete manual since the day installed/bought.
Shipping/Transportation must be arranged by the buyer. The boiler can be pick-up in 60-days of the sale (2-months).
The boiler weighs 41,600-pounds dry (20.8-tons). The dimensions are 24-feet long, 9-feet wide and 11-feet tall. The boiler cannot fit container!
Shipping/Transportation must be arranged by the buyer as well as lifting the boiler on the flat bed. Expect a $500 lift. The boiler can be pick-up in 60-days of the sale (2-months).
The boiler will require a permit to ship over the road, and the transporter can take care of the permit.
If not shipping overseas then a container or wooden crate is not always required. Check with your shipper.

Insurance certificate must be provided by the lifter. One-hour from the Port of Albany NY for overseas shipping. The boiler is 10-minutes from interstate-90. We can provide a telephone number for a local rigger or lifter to place on a truck if you do not have one locally.

The boiler is sold in an 'as is condition.'
